01

Product & sourcing

What is Himalayan Shilajit resin?
Shilajit is a natural, mineral-rich resin found in high-altitude mountain regions such as the Himalayas, where it develops in rock formations over long periods. It is traditionally valued for its naturally occurring fulvic acid and trace minerals. Opure sells it in its original single-ingredient resin form.
Where does Opure shilajit come from?
It is collected from rock formations in the Himalayan ranges at altitudes of around 17,000 feet, near the Skardu region. Each batch is purified with spring water and sun-dried for 45 days before it is packaged. We work directly with trusted local sourcing partners, without middlemen.
What does the name "Opure" mean?
Opure stands for Organic + Pure — reflecting our focus on clean, single-ingredient resin, transparent sourcing, and careful preparation.
Is anything added to the resin?
No. It is single-ingredient Himalayan Shilajit resin — no fillers, additives, preservatives, or flavourings at any stage.
Do you sell resin, powder, or capsules?
We sell resin, the traditional form of shilajit. Powders and capsules are usually processed further and often include carriers or bulking agents to hold their form. Our resin is kept as a single ingredient.

Using & storing it

How do I use shilajit resin?
Dissolve a pea-sized portion (about 250 mg, using the included spoon) in warm water, milk, or tea until fully dissolved. It is commonly used once daily, or as directed by your healthcare professional.
How long does one jar last?
A 25g jar contains roughly 80 servings — about 2–3 months of daily use at a pea-sized portion.
What does it taste like?
Shilajit naturally has a strong, earthy, slightly smoky taste. Most people find it milder when mixed into warm water, milk, coffee, or tea rather than taken on its own.
How should I store it?
Keep the jar sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, at room temperature. Use a clean, dry spoon each time and close the lid after use to keep moisture out. Refrigeration isn't required.
My resin got hard (or very soft) — is that normal?
Yes. Resin texture changes naturally with temperature — it firms up when cool and softens when warm. If it's too hard to scoop, warm the sealed jar in your hands for a minute or place it in a bowl of warm water. This is normal and doesn't affect quality.
What is the shelf life?
Pure resin is a naturally stable material and keeps well when sealed and stored properly in a cool, dry place. Please refer to the date printed on your jar, and avoid introducing water or moisture into the container.
Can both men and women use it?
Yes. Shilajit resin is traditionally used by adults generally. Use it only as directed on the label.
Is there anyone who should check with a professional first?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, taking medication, or managing a medical condition, we recommend speaking with a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new supplement. Keep out of reach of children.

Quality & safety

How do you ensure quality and purity?
Our resin is a single ingredient, purified using traditional water filtration, sun-dried, and carefully prepared and packaged before shipping. Nothing is added at any stage.
Do you test for heavy metals? Can I see a lab report?
Because shilajit forms in rock, purification and verification matter. Our resin is purified before packaging, and we can provide a Certificate of Analysis / test report on request so you can review the details yourself. Email support@opure.co with your order or batch number.
How can I tell authentic resin from an imitation?
Authentic resin is typically very dark brown to black, softens with warmth and firms when cool, and dissolves in warm water without gritty, sandy deposits. For anything beyond these physical checks, a Certificate of Analysis is the most reliable confirmation — and we're happy to share ours on request.
Is Opure FDA approved?
No. Opure Himalayan Shilajit Resin is not FDA approved. Dietary supplements are not subject to FDA approval before they are marketed. Our products are carefully sourced, prepared, and packaged with a focus on quality. We encourage customers to use the product as directed and to consult a qualified healthcare professional with any questions about its suitability.
Is this a dietary supplement?
Yes. Opure Himalayan Shilajit Resin is sold as a dietary supplement. It should be used only as directed on the label and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
